1. Break study material down
Break your study material into smaller, manageable chunks.
Curate your summary. That way, you won't be scared when you open a material over 50 pages.
2. Take breaks
Are you reading for 5 hours straight? Give yourself short breaks during your study sessions to recharge.
Use the pomodoro system, study for 25 mins and take a 5 mins break. Things you can do during the break are stretches, get water, give gratitude, etc.
3. Stay organized
If there's another thing that makes students worried and scared, it's not having notes or materials organized. Keep your study materials and notes well-organized for easy access.
Have a folder for your materials on your Google account. Keep your notes in a bag that only you can access.
4. Teach someone else
I learned this sometimes back that, explaining concepts to others can help reinforce your understanding.
5. Practice, practice, practice
Regularly review and practice past exam questions. Search online for past questions, you can also curate your practice questions, it helps.
6. Stay hydrated
The heat these days is doing a lot. Drink plenty of water to stay focused and energized.
7. Find your study space
“My friend is going to the library, I'm going too.” “My friend reads well in a noisy place, I can also read well while listening to music.”
Are you your friend? You should find and create a quiet and comfortable study environment that works well for you.
8. Use mnemonic devices
Do you know what mnemonic devices are? Well, they are memory aids that help you remember information by associating it with something easier to remember. You can create acronyms or visual cues to remember key information.
9. Get enough sleep
Overnight here, overnight there. My dear, does it work for you? Another thing I'd tell you as a good friend that I am is to aim for a good night's sleep. It helps to improve concentration and your memory.
10. Stay positive
One of the things that always works is believing in yourself and maintaining a positive mindset throughout your study journey.
